Apostle Paul: Now Through A Glass Darkly....

The Way of Imperfection is essential

to the learning that we all came to experience in human form.

Ann: Jesus, is this Paul? Did I hear him this morning?

Jesus: Yes, Ann, he has been trying to get through to you. He can be of help to you in your struggle to access and, as well, he has a more generalized message for the times.

Ann: Paul?

Paul: Yes. Thanks for taking my call, I know you didn’t want to.

Ann: Well, it seems I have wronged you, sorry about that.

Paul: You thought I was a fanatic, a one trick pony with no compassion, and you weren’t too far out about that. When, as in my case, your eyes are opened to the Truth in a way that is beyond cavil or denial, you either make radical changes in your life or succumb to whatever addiction of choice allows you to hide from that opening.

Your dream this morning is giving you a clue about this. Your friend, mentor, and role model put on religious dress to enter orders. She is conflicted and wavering, and you say to her, “You don’t have to do it, you just have to know how to do it.”

When we come to the planet and take on a mortal body, we lose clear vision. It is then up to us as we go through life to restore it, not to the point of heavenly access, but through the prism of human orientation, as best we can, to allow ourselves to place our trust in the Holy Spirit. Then it is that we see through a glass darkly,.

And that is enough to keep us going while we are on the planet. We see that there is another way, that we can make changes even if we can’t see the full spectrum of where those changes lead. We are still human, so our transformation while in human form is never complete, but it is enough, enough to keep our feet on the path, enough to allow us to choose to believe, to allow ourselves to trust in that divine guidance.

You saw the Albrecht Dürer* above painting many years ago and decided to stay as far away from me as possible because the eyes in that figure were uncompromising, those, if you will, of a fanatic, even a madman.

But Ann, we all become fanatics when we see the Truth, when we experience the Divine in God’s holy presence. We can put these experiences on the back burner as from time to time, and that is natural, for we are human as well as divine, and our human needs and those around us need to be addressed.

And yet always the numinous experience our pedal tone. It comes around again and again and again whether we will or no. It reverberates constantly in our waking and sleeping times.

It will not be denied any more than the temporary fact of our human incarnation can be put aside. There has to be compromise between the two in order to navigate the sojourn on this planet in a way that honors our spiritual essence while paying heed to what the body and the physical world demands.

You cannot expect perfection, it will never arrive in this context. But neither can you expect that withdrawal or rebellion will carry the day and relieve you from your most fundament understanding that you are a creature of spirit, that you have taken on a temporary role in the furtherance of your expansion in God’s love, that you will return to other realms when this journey is over and will then see face to face.

Now you are simply asked to trust that what you see through a glass darkly will come to clarity and fruition in time.

Ann: How did you handle this?

Paul: (Laughing) Not very well. I was a humorless sort of bloke and would probably have caught more flies with honey. And yet my vision, though clouded, would not leave me alone. It ate up every waking hour, it propelled me to share, to reach as many people as I could, to encourage them to begin to build a new world, a world based on Christi’s love rather than not man’s delusions.

It didn’t always go very well. In the process I trampled over souls who perhaps needed a helping hand rather than a kick in the pants. Mine was not a soft love, and I am working on that now, for our God does not ask us to judge. I made many mistakes and did not allow myself room to breathe. I am learning it now.

I came today to validate for each of you the reality of your visions, no matter how incomplete or how oddly they may be received. And I come to ask you to persevere with kindness and the understanding that your human form can only take in so much in a world of finite time and space.

I ask that that incomplete state become the source of wonder and compassion for yourself and those around you. This is how I would temper my message were I to walk with you in these times of polarization.

I can say from deep experience that compassion, not judgment, is the Way, the Way of Imperfection that is essential to the learning that we all came to experience in human form.

We are Sprit and Human. We are Limited and Divine. We are Love and Not-Love all in one. It is up to us how we direct our bifurcated energies on this planet, but however you choose to proceed, I ask that you keep before you the sure and certain knowledge that you will see face to face when your work on earth is done. This was true then, and it is true now.

Blessings on each one of you.
