John McCain: Stay True

Ann: Hi John. I’ve been feeling your presence and wanting your advice, but I simply cannot imagine what you could say to help us.

John McCain: Well, it’s a good thing I’m here, Annie, so you don’t have to imagine. “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”  Shakespeare headed us in the right direction as did the ancient spirit whose wisdom he channeled, so keep that in mind.

Why so down the mouth, Annie? Yes, you’re going into a tunnel. You’ve been there before as have many others. There are tunnels in each life, there are tunnels in each civilization and their cultures, it’s just the warp and weft of the Earth's evolution.

Tunnels are for recalibrating, and, yes, you’re in a doozy of one now. Never in my lifetime or yours could I have imagined the turn towards tyranny that has resulted from the last election. Nor could I have imagined those of my colleagues who profoundly recall the cowardice of the Third Reich and its antecedents and abandon their incredulity at those who go along to get along. Never could they see themselves in that role, but here they are,.

Well, Annie, just remember that whatever role you don’t think you could ever see yourself in, just wait, because that’s what’s coming at you, and it’s up to you how you take it.

It’s what’s known as the shadow side of each of us, each individual, each culture, and each civilization. When we project the things that we profoundly abhor in ourselves onto others and relinquish responsibility, they then have space to grow and air to breathe free of the encumbrances of the conscience and consciousness of the host who released them.

  This is what you see happening now. We have put our dark sides out onto others, and those others have taken them in and allowed them to multiply and now they are doing their best to take over the world.

And yes, there will be merry hell to pay before it’s over. But it will be over because the tunnel is still a tunnel and not an eternity.

I look at my former colleagues and those who follow this siren song and pray for their immortal souls, for what they’re doing now will carry them into the darkest tunnel of their own natures and it’s not so easy to get out when the tunnel has absorbed your vision.

What I want to leave you with is this: Stay true.

Stay true to your highest self. Do not let the world’s corruptions and fears seep into your soul. Stay clear, stay strong, and stay true. Do not let your vision become clouded. When you start to become confused or fearful, find your center and focus on the long running pedal tones of the universe: Truth, Beauty, and Love.

In the darkest times you can still hear them reverberate in your deepest being. I know.  I have been there.  We will be with you.  We will travel with you through that tunnel so that you emerge intact, clearer, and cleaner on the other side.

John: You won’t get rid of me so easily, my girl. We’re in this together and don’t you forget it.
