Robin Williams: Creativity

Creativity is the elixir of life. 

Ann: Robin?

Robin: You come to me because you already know this. Not just for humans but for The Great One, Allah, Yahweh, Great Spirit, each one we call the Creator. That's what they do, Create.

Without a creative force In your life, you become a drudge waiting for death or the next indignity. Creativity is a ticket to the ascension, a ticket to ride, or a ticket to the moon should you choose to go there, but most of all it is a ticket into your soul, your mission, the blueprint sketched out by you before you came to this planet.

You don’t have to be a romance novelist, a poet, composer, or crazy teller of tales, fairy tales, tall tales, dog tales or digitales. Just offer your spirit to the Great Creator and see where it leads you.

How do you think I did my riffs? I just let go. Yes, I studied, I worked, I practiced, I researched and collected, but most of all, I just let go, over and over and over and over and over again, ad nauseum and than again and again and again. And I can tell you, that when the world gets rough, go create something. It's the only think that works.

I’ve heard so many people say they are not creative. Oh bull pucky. That’s like saying you're not alive. 

What blows your dress up? What gives you a lift? Do you like to clean out the garage? Go for it.  Do you want to run for Congress? Call your therapist for an emergency appointment, reserve a spot in a sanatorium, then go for it. Set the table, become a doctor, lawyer, or Indian chief, write in a journal, put a meal together, or love your family, your dog, or any odd creature you may come across, take care of babies, old folks, pick up the garbage. or become a nuclear physicist.

Any old thing will do. It does not matter what it is, just that creativity is in your life.  Creativity is not the spice of life; it is its essence. Each of you have it, you cannot live without it. No one has been left out because creativity is the elixir of life. 

Go drink from that cup until you are high, drunk, or dead.  That’s what I did.
